How it works

How it works

What happens when you get in touch, where we meet, how often, and what it costs.

What happens next

  1. You send an email or arrange a free consultation.
  2. I read it myself. Every message comes to me, not to an inbox someone else manages.
  3. We have the free consultation, so you can get a feel for me before committing to anything.
  4. You decide. There's no obligation on either side, and no pressure from me.

These are facts about the process, not promises about how you'll feel afterwards.

Where and how often

We'll find what suits you.

One to one sessions are online, wherever you are in the UK. Work with organisations is mostly online too, and I visit in person where it makes sense. Workshops are in person.

How often is flexible and we agree it together. Some people come weekly, some fortnightly, some for a short block while things are difficult.

Fees

One to one

From £70

Per session, online.

Organisations

Quoted

Per engagement, because no two settings need the same thing. Get in touch for a conversation and I'll tell you honestly what I think I can help with.

Consultation

Free

There is no charge for it whether or not you decide to go ahead.

The things people ask

"I don't know what to ask for."

Good.

Come and we'll work it out.

"What if I can't explain what's wrong?"

You don't need to. That's the work, not a prerequisite for it.

"I find talking about feelings hard."

Talking is part of my work as well as other ways to explore your experiences.

"Will you judge me?"

No. And that goes double for parents.

"Can you diagnose my child?"

No, and I'll be honest about who can.

"What if you're not the right fit?"

I'll say so, and point you somewhere better.

"Do you do court reports or assessments?"

No.

We can take it from there.

You don't have to be sure therapy is right for you before getting in touch. You are welcome to send an email or arrange a free consultation.
